Why we love Love Your Home and a little bit about their story…
When I first met Leigh, the founder of husband-and-wife team Love Your Home, back in 2018, I instantly fell in love with their showroom.
Based in a quirky barn in Surrey, both the space and all the team are so welcoming and friendly. They pride themselves on creating beautiful furniture at reasonable prices. Each piece has a design edge to make them stand out whilst being comfortable and also child friendly. They manage to make pieces which are both stunningly beautiful and inherently robust without compromising the design.
As a close-knit family business, Leigh can often be found in the studio surrounded by small clay models of furniture he is working on. I adore that some of the sofas are named after their children adding a truly personal touch. I really enjoy an informal ‘pick and mix’ approach to my designs and this is why Love Your Home stands out for me. You can select fabric and wood colours, or even use your own textiles, making your piece of furniture truly bespoke to you.
What inspires us to collaborate with Love Your Home?
Over the years I have returned to Leigh and the team time and time again for our clients’ projects. We have created so many upholstered beds and headboards together. I was especially proud of one with additional sides which had lights and sockets cut into the headboard – truly unique to our client’s needs.
We love using their sofas for both our residential and commercial projects. The Earle Grey has been a huge hit with our clients as it is a modern twist on the classic Chesterfield and I have always paired it with their gorgeous stain resistant which comes in such lovely clients.
As an interior designer it is always a pleasure collaborating and getting to know who I work with. It makes the whole experience more enjoyable and personal for both me and my client. With Love Your Home, nothing is too much trouble and the whole team are a joy to work with.
Our 3 favourite products
One of my favourites is the Love Your Home Living Etc collection. It has so many contemporary touches and a real sense of mid-century modern about the design. The Hepworth chair is such a statement piece with its clever curves which wrap around you when sitting on it. So many of the chairs by Love Your Home are incredibly tactile. I was so happy when a client recently opted for the Isaac in long pile wood. It’s the perfect occasional chair as it makes a real impact without taking up too much space.
Their upholstered beds are also amazing quality. We always go for the ottoman option as storage is a premium for so many clients. It’s such a bonus being able to lift the whole mattress, allowing access to all the available space and leaving you with more room in your wardrobe. In the past we have also ordered just the bed base and created a bespoke headboard with a joiner. You really can be so creative with their designs and that’s another reason we so enjoy working with their team.
Best wishes from Nikki
