Charterhouse School

We are delighted that our Charterhouse staff lounge and workplace project has been shortlisted for a BIID Interior design award 2023.

A full interior design service was our brief at this partly Grade II listed building within Charterhouse school in Godalming, Surrey. We worked collaboratively with the school to really understand their needs and ultimately how their 430 staff members wanted to use the space on a daily basis.

Sympathetically blending the architectural features of the listed section of the building with the 1970s extension, we created a welcoming and homely space including two social lounge areas, a bar and four collaborative workplaces to encourage a dynamic work environment. The new lounge and work space now provides a sanctuary for school employees which is truly vital to staff wellbeing, as well as the wider school community.
