Boarding House Renovation: Gownboys Common Room, Godalming, Surrey
Charterhouse School
Gownboys is one of the ten boarding houses at Charterhouse school that Nikki has been asked to refurbish, and it is the oldest of them all. Nikki was commissioned to redesign the student common rooms in the house, working alongside Miller Bourne Architects.
The stunning former dining room was clad in heritage wood panelling which we carefully restored, and we cleverly zoned and furnished the rooms, allowing the students to work effectively as well as socialise in the space.
